The employment and pensions team at Stephenson Harwood have an excellent pedigree. The team has offered specialist pensions advice since it developed as a distinct specialism in the 1980s and also has market leading skills in the areas of restrictive covenants, protection of confidential information, diversity issues, senior executive termination and bonus disputes.
With the funding of occupational pension schemes a daily issue in the UK press, and the additional care required following the Pensions Act 2004, pensions is a key commercial issue in most transactions. With a straightforward and user friendly approach the team provides legal expertise and experience in all areas affecting occupational pension schemes and retirement provision.
Our employment team has a wealth of experience in providing both day to day and litigious advice on employment law issues to clients across a variety of sectors including financial services, leisure and retail, TMT and the public sector.
Our work has an international element and we work closely across our international offices and with established legal contacts overseas. The team has also developed its corporate support transactional expertise by providing services to corporate departments in other law firms which do not have an in-house employment and pensions capability, including other domestic and international law firms.
