Our relevant experience includes:

  • Advising Apollo-managed funds in relation to their acquisition of maritime liquified natural gas carrier infrastructure platform, Hav Energy LNG Holding AS.
  • Advised Subsea 7 on its €140 million acquisition of Siem Offshore Contractors GmbH and two vessels. The acquisition included the entire issued share capital of Siem Offshore Contractors, the inter-array cable lay vessel Siem Aimery and the support vessel Siem Moxie.
  • Advised BW Group, a global maritime company, on its acquisition of 100% of Hawaiki Submarine Cable and International Connectivity Services.
  • Advised Cetus Maritime on its acquisition of Chile-based shipowner-operator Nachipa Corp. With the addition of Nachipa’s Japanese-built, modern handysize vessels, Cetus Maritime’s fleet will comprise 65 ships, of which 75% will be eco-vessels. Marine Money East M&A Deals of the Year 2024.
  • The firm co-advised Cyan Renewables on its acquisition of MMA Offshore a Perth-based ASX-listed offshore vessel support company, for an implied equity value of AU$1.1 billion. Marine Money East M&A Deals of the Year 2024.
  • Advised Hong Kong shipowner Asia Maritime Pacific on its merger with Hamburg Bulk Carriers to form Cetus Maritime, one of the largest privately held handysize bulk operators in Asia.
  • Acting for CSAV in relation to the merger of its container business with Hapag-Lloyd. Conducting due diligence exercise with respect to all commercial shipping contracts.

Our relevant experience includes:

  • We advised Fleetscape and Oaktree on the sale of the Fleetscape platform to a subsidiary of Quantum Pacific, an investment firm based in Singapore. The sale involved Oaktree completing an internal restructuring of the Fleetscape platform and then selling shares and shareholder loans to Quantum Pacific in certain Fleetscape SPVs that were the "lender"/"owner" in the relevant underlying financing transactions.
  • Advised SMT Shipping on the sale of 50% of Eureka Shipping, a pneumatic cement vessel business, to CSL Group to create a joint venture designed to combine their respective expertise, resources and technologies to expand services to customers in the global seaborne cement powder and fly ash transportation markets.
  • Advising Swire Pacific on the US$190 million sale of its offshore subsidiary, Swire Pacific Offshore, to US NASDAQ-listed offshore vessel operator Tidewater.

  • Advised Hartree Partners LP, a global energy and commodities trading company, on its Tribeca Maritime Partners joint venture with two counterparties in relation to the ownership, financing and operation of certain vessels.
  • Advised Quantum Pacific Shipping on a share disposal to Norway’s Ocean Yield ASA to establish a joint venture for the construction and operation of six mega container vessels, with an aggregate value of US$1 billion.
  • Advised Euronav on its joint venture with affiliates of Ridgebury Tankers and clients of Tufton Oceanic for the acquisition of two Suezmax vessels for a total consideration of US$40.6 million.
  • We advised an offshore group on all aspects of a joint venture with a European counterpart in relation to the design, engineering, construction and subsequent operation of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel to be chartered to an oil major.
  • Advised a leading floating production company on a joint venture with a major conglomerate and the construction, acquisition, contracting, offtake and funding of the project in South America.
