Alex acts for landlords, tenants, developers, investors and lenders on the full range of property disputes. He has particular experience advising on landlord and tenant issues, including forfeiture, tenant insolvency, rent arrears, dilapidations and lease renewals. He has recently acted on a number of very high-profile forfeiture claims in the High Court.
Alex also frequently advises on disputes arising out of property transactions and development issues, such as rights of light claims, noise nuisance and vacant possession strategies.
In addition to property disputes, Alex also advises on general commercial litigation. He has previously acted on a High Court claim for in excess of $1 billion in relation to an alleged breach of contract, a number of significant High Court claims relating to technology transformation projects and one of the largest class actions in the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
During his training contract, Alex spent six months on secondment at a global technology and consulting company. Alex is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
