Georgina advises on a variety of infrastructure and construction projects at all stages of the project life cycle, including procurement, financing, construction, operation, management, refinancing and expiry. She works for a broad range of clients covering key roles within major infrastructure projects, including project companies, project sponsors, government authorities, investors, borrowers, contractors and developers.
Georgina specialises in drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of contracts including commercial project documents, project finance documents and construction contracts (both standard form and bespoke). She regularly advises on legacy PPP/PFI projects as well as new energy and transportation projects and commercial property developments, providing clear advice, pragmatic solutions and an efficient service.
Georgina has particular experience working on renewable energy projects in sectors such as hydrogen, nuclear, electric vehicle infrastructure, recycling, energy from waste and anaerobic digestion. She has also spent time providing in-house support on secondment to the landmark Sizewell C nuclear power project, working on a range of commercial, financing, regulation, ESG, supply chain and governance matters.
Project NextGen
Advised NextGen AssetCo, a joint venture company between Hitachi Rail and FirstGroup, on a £100 million strategic partnership to deliver electric vehicle batteries to bus fleets across the UK. Included advising on the debt financing, operational and leasing agreements, and joint venture and equity arrangements.
Sizewell C nuclear power station
Provided in-house support on secondment to Sizewell C, a new 3.2GW nuclear power station in Suffolk, for financing, economic regulation, commercial, governance, supply chain and ESG matters.
Enviroo recycling facility
Advised on the development of a waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle-to-bottle washing line and pellet extrusion facility in Protos, Cheshire. Advised on the supply chain, construction and management contracts for development and operation of the facility.
Wrightbus financing
Advised Wrightbus on a £150 million finance package from HSBC UK to provide working capital to facilitate continued investment into the decarbonisation of public transport. Advised on the financing and security package.
eEnergy financing
Advised a UK bank as lender on the £40m financing of eEnergy plc, a provider of rooftop solar projects, smart meters, electric vehicle charging facilities and LED lighting to schools, hospitals and local government.
North London Waste Authority
Advised on various procurement, construction and commercial matters relating to the North London Heat and Power Project, a major redevelopment of the North London EcoPark to include a new green Energy Recovery Facility.
Protium hydrogen projects
Advised on legislative and regulatory obligations relating to the production, sale and transportation of hydrogen energy.
Commercial property developments
Advised various commercial property developers on building contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties for a number of property developments including logistics parks, office spaces and retail centres.
