Biography

Language - English

James loves solving problems.  He's a commercial property transaction specialist with vast experience with a multitude of different types of transactions.  James has extensive experience advising high profile property funds and companies on high value property investments ranging from office and retail developments to more specialist work on distribution centres and supermarkets.

James is skilled at dealing with many of the more unusual and complicated aspects of real estate. Often in the context of corporate acquisitions or investments, James has advised on acquisitions and developments of ports, airports, mines, wind farms, solar farms, heat pipe plants, geo-thermal plants, fracking, student accommodation, offices, retail parks, shops, car parks, supermarkets, warehouses, distribution hubs, motorway service stations, exhibition halls, power stations, race tracks, caravan parks and pubs.

James is a CEDR accredited mediator and sits on the Kings College London Law School Advisory Board.  In the pro bono sphere, James works with schools to improve accessibility to the profession, women in prison who wish to have contact with their children and every day citizens who might benefit from mediation to help them resolve disputes.

James is down to earth and approachable.  Whilst James takes his work very seriously and is regarded as a technical wizard, he believes that having a sense of humour and taking time to build friendships from working relationships makes life better for everyone - and it improves outcomes.
Chambers UK described him as "pleasant to deal with and commercial - a class act".
