Nicholas Stretch is a partner at Stephenson Harwood, specialising in employee incentives and remuneration. With over 25 years of experience, he advises both private and quoted companies on share plans, management incentives and bonus arrangements, ensuring they navigate the complexities of tax structuring and corporate governance with ease. 

His expertise extends to handling the impact of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs, on employee incentives. Nicholas collaborates closely with Stephenson Harwood's employment team to guide clients through senior-level appointments, remuneration, and terminations, ensuring compliance with financial services remuneration codes.

His clients appreciate his ability to make complex legal areas understandable, allowing them to focus on their business goals. While based in London, he has worked on many engagements with our Dubai office.

A former chairman of Share Plan Lawyers and the QCA Share Schemes Expert Group, Nicholas is valued for his commercial insight and ability to deliver tailored solutions that align with clients' strategic objectives.

    Advised on long term incentive arrangements for the company on its proposed IPO in 2024.

    Ongoing share and cash incentive arrangements.

  • Spitfire Audio    

    Advised Spitfire Audio on setting up share option arrangements and on its acquisition by Splice. 

  • AHJ Holdings   

    Advised on the sale of insurance broker AHJ Holdings to Miller, including advising on the impact of the sale on incentive arrangements and considering practical implementation points which arose during the sale process.
