Danae has been supporting the global ship finance team as a knowledge development lawyer since 2016. Prior to that, she assisted different types of lenders and ship owners with commercial loans, ECA-backed loans, sale and leaseback transactions, restructurings, shipbuilding transactions, sale and purchase transactions and tax lease structures.
Since transitioning to a consultancy role, Danae has been pivotal in providing legal training to the ship finance team and clients, keeping them informed of the latest legal and market developments. Her work also includes drafting and maintaining template documentation and guidance notes, automating templates, building and maintaining the ship finance section on the firm's intranet, assisting the team with transaction-related queries and, on occasions, supporting the team on transactions.
Danae often contributes to articles and is an author of the fourth edition of Stephenson Harwood's Ship Finance Practical Handbook.
