Emily has broad experience in commercial litigation and international arbitration in the MENA region, which extends to the construction and infrastructure, energy, oil and gas, and banking sectors.
Emily's practice spans high-profile construction arbitrations, including some of the region's largest developments and multi-billion-dollar commercial cases in the DIFC Courts. Having practised in both London and Dubai, Emily also has experience of financial services regulation, banking disputes and white-collar crime investigations. DIAC arbitration proceedings
Represented the Employer in DIAC arbitration proceedings concerning claims commenced by the Contractor arising out of the construction of a multi-billion-dollar development in the UAE.
Enforcement of a US$1.65billion ICC arbitration award
Acted for the Claimant in multiple successful applications in the DIFC Court relating to the enforcement of a US$ 1.65 billion ICC arbitration award, including a worldwide freezing order and an application to set aside the award.
DIFC Court proceedings
Represented the majority shareholders of one of Dubai's leading gold refineries in several concurrent commercial cases in the DIFC Courts, which involved claims for mismanagement, unfair prejudice and misappropriation of fund assets.
LCIA arbitration proceedings
Defended one of the UAE's largest real estate developers in LCIA arbitration proceedings against its joint venture partner, following failures in a multi-billion-dollar contract for the creation of a large tourism hub and amusement park in Dubai.

Acted for the Respondents in an LCIA arbitration commenced by a contractor who claimed wrongful termination of a multi-million pound contract involving an offshore pipeline, alleging acts of prevention, breach of contract and misrepresentation.
