  • Perfect Marine Ltd v. Sodrugestvo Turkey Tarim Tasimacilik Ithalat Ihracat Ticaret A.S and others

    Acted for Cargo Interests in relation to a cargo of soybeans which arrived damaged in Turkey in 2021. Expert issues of care of cargo during voyage, condition of cargo on loading, whether the Cargo Interests were permitted to discharge goods on arrival at Ukraine and the sound arrived market value of the cargo on arrival in Turkey.

  • Charterers v Owners under Head Charter and Cargo Interest Insurers v Owners under Bills of Lading

    Acted for Owners in relation to a cargo of corn which arrived damaged at disport. Expert issues of care of cargo during voyage, condition of cargo on loading and the sound arrived market value of the cargo on arrival. Ended in multipartite settlement between Owners, Charterers and Cargo Interests/their insurers.

  • Ocean Clap Shipping Limited & Anor v Global Offshore Services BV & Anor [2025] EWHC 1591 (Comm)

    Acted for Owners of two offshore vessels chartered on bareboat terms. Claim brought against Charterers and Guarantors for unpaid hire. Expert issues involved quantum issues for valuation of offshore vessels and the reasonable costs of repairs post termination. Legal issues involved disproving that there was a separate agreement to discontinue hire and whether the guarantor was liable under the guarantees. Successful on all counts.
