Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters: A global comparison
Stephenson Harwood's commercial litigation team recently hosted a webinar on 'Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters: A global comparison', following the publication of the @ Legal 500 (Legalease) Country Comparative Guide.
The webinar was attended by more than 180 participants who joined from various countries including those who joined from Asia, America, Europe, UK and the UAE. The webinar was chaired and moderated by London-based partner Donna Newman, and the panel line-up included managing associate Chis Pettett who represented England and Wales and associate Ranna Musa who represented the UAE, and global representatives from Ogier, SAP Legal, Magnusson Law, Vischer, Janson, Jeantet, Giambrone law, White & Case, Scordis, Papapetrou & Co, Villar Abogados, Higgs & Johnson and Global Law Office.
These experts, who had contributed to the Guide, spoke about the key differences between the jurisdictions, and shared their insights on legal frameworks, process, challenges to enforcement, appeals, costs and interests in their respective countries.
