Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its technology practice with the arrival of senior consultant Mark Lewis, who will be based in the firm's London office.

Mark has over 35 years' experience representing customer- and supply-side clients globally in all forms of information technology, business process and operations sourcing and outsourcing projects and transactions, including cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Widely recognised in the market as one of the UK's leading practitioners, his clients have included global, FTSE and other corporates, as well as governments and other national, pan-national, and regional bodies. Mark's practice has a strong financial services base, including representation of global and major firms, challengers, fintech providers, and IT and business process service providers in the banking, insurance, and asset management industries.

Mark returns to Stephenson Harwood after 26 years, when he was a partner and head of the IT and IP practices at the firm before leaving to co-found and manage a law firm alongside PwC.

"The technology practice is a key area of focus for the firm, given the vital role it plays in almost every aspect of society," said Simon Bollans, partner and head of the technology practice at Stephenson Harwood. "Mark's extensive experience and reputation in the industry is a boost to our growing practice and enhances the offering we can provide to our clients."

Mark is also a Visiting Professor in Practice in the Law School at the London School of Economics, where he lectures on AI, cybersecurity and resilience, and cloud computing. He has previously held several non-executive roles and has been active in mentoring young professionals over the years, including through the 30% Club.
