Rania Tadros wins 'Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year Award'

Stephenson Harwood Dubai Office Managing Partner Rania Tadros has won the 'Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year Award' at the Thomson Reuters Asian Legal Business (ALB) Middle East Awards.

Rania, who specialises in shipping, offshore and trade law, leads the firm's marine and international trade team in the Middle East. She has more than 20 years' experience serving clients operating in these sectors, with a particular focus on resolving disputes and providing advice on commercial matters.

Rania received this award in recognition of her efforts to promote diversity and inclusion throughout her career, through various initiatives both within the legal and maritime communities. This includes her influential role as the founder and president of the Women in Shipping and Trade Association (WISTA)'s UAE branch. WISTA is an international organisation committed to supporting women advance in the maritime, trading and logistics sectors, and help them to achieve their career objectives. Through WISTA UAE, Rania has built a thriving network and community of female professionals, which facilitates the exchange of knowledge and professional growth among members, and addresses the existing gender leadership gap.

"I'm extremely honoured to have received this award and look forward to working with my peers and friends in continuing to advocate for diversity in the legal industry," said Rania Tadros. "Together, we will continue in our efforts to promote an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender or background, can thrive and contribute meaningfully."

Rania was also recognised for her involvement in Stephenson Harwood's global Women's Partner Pipeline Programme and for her efforts helping associates advance through the Female Career Progression Programme.
