Stephenson Harwood advises Ashoka WhiteOak on £30.5 million IPO
Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust (AWEM) on its successful raising of £30.5 million through the IPO of its ordinary shares.
AWEM is a new UK investment trust, which seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in quoted securities which provide exposure to global emerging markets. It is the first premium listed IPO in the investment companies space of the London Stock Exchange since November 2021, and the first listed equities-focused investment trust launched since 2018.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by partner William Saunders, who was supported by managing associate Alan Sauvain.
