International law firm Stephenson Harwood has been recognised in three categories at the recent Trophées du Droit awards. The firm was commended for its practices in antitrust; ethics, investigations and defence (EID); and restructuring and insolvency (R&I).
The firm received gold in the 'Compliance & Anticorruption' category, silver in the 'Competition Law' category and a special jury mention in the 'Insolvency & Restructuring: mid-cap transactions' category.
The annual law awards, which are organised by Leaders League and Magazine Décideurs, highlight and reward outstanding expertise across the legal sector in France. A jury of experts, comprising more than 160 renowned professionals in the French legal market, selected the winners based on portfolios which the competing teams had submitted, as well as interviews and general market research.
"This is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the strength and breadth of our legal offering," said Nicolas Demigneux, Stephenson Harwood's Paris office managing partner. "We have an ambitious strategy to grow our international offering at pace, and have seen real success over recent years as we've worked to create a full-service practice in Paris. Indeed, both our EID and R&I practices have been launched in the last five years. Being recognised for the calibre of our offering in these areas is a real testament to the efforts of all involved, and of course to our clients who trust us with their most complex and demanding mandates."
The French Stephenson Harwood antitrust and EID practices are led by partner Jean-Julien Lemonnier, and the R&I practice by partner Alexandre Koenig.
Stephenson Harwood's Paris team supports both French and international clients on a broad spectrum of legal matters. Its experts cover specialisms including asset finance; project finance; acquisition finance; private equity; investments; mergers and acquisitions; real estate; restructuring and insolvency; litigation; ethics investigations and defence; insurance; tax; antitrust; and competition.
