Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised the Lifull Connect group on its acquisition of several of Digital Classifieds Group's Southeast Asian assets.
Lifull Connect group is a global property technology (proptech) group headquartered in Japan, with a significant presence across Asia and other international markets. Digital Classifieds Group, an Australian-headquartered marketplace operator, entered administration in March. Lifull's acquisition of several of its property portals in Indonesia, Philippines, and Cambodia, combined with Lifull's existing platforms Hipflat, dotProperty and the FazWaz brokerage brand, means Lifull Connect now owns one of the largest proptech groups in Southeast Asia.
This is the latest in a series of proptech matters for Stephenson Harwood in Singapore, which recently advised the founders of FazWaz on their acquisition of Lifull's Connect business earlier in the year.
Partner Tom Platts led the team, supported by associates Harry Wilson and Chris Madden. The team also coordinated advice across eight jurisdictions in Southeast Asia and Oceania—Singapore, UAE, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Australia, and Papua New Guinea—working closely with DFDL and with Maddocks (Australia), who led on the Australian administration process.
