Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised Seraya Partners on a co-investment into Cyan Renewables Pte. Ltd.
This transaction represents one of the largest co-investment deals in Asia to date, and features Seraya Partners, one of the largest private equity funds headquartered in Singapore; Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), a leading LP from Canada; and other global LP investors.
The proceeds of the co-investment was used to facilitate the AU$1billion privatisation of MMA Offshore (MMA), an ASX-listed offshore vessel support company.
Singapore-based Seraya Partners is a leading independent private equity fund manager investing in next generation infrastructure. This includes making middle market infrastructure investments that will facilitate energy transition in Asia, including green data centres, offshore wind vessels, and within the renewable energy sector.
AIMCo is one of Canada’s largest and most diversified institutional investment managers with more than CAN$158 billion of assets under management. AIMCo invests globally on behalf of 17 pension, endowment, insurance, and government funds in the Province of Alberta.
