Nick is a corporate partner at Stephenson Harwood specialising in investment funds. He advises investment managers, funds and their boards, investors and brokers on a range of matters including the launch and ongoing management of funds.

Nick has supported his clients on high-profile and innovative fund launches in both the listed funds and private funds markets. He advises on post-launch events including secondary issues, reconstructions, changes to management arrangements and regulatory matters. He also acts for funds on public and private investment and divestment work across a range of sectors.

His expertise spans listed and private UK fund structures as well as those available offshore. Clients value Nick’s range of expertise and commercial judgment and consider him as a valuable team member and adviser.

Advised on the IPO of the UK’s first listed investment fund focussed on fintech. Acted on all subsequent fundraises as well as on management, regulatory and investment matters.
European Opportunities Trust PLC
Acted for the Board on a change in management from Jupiter Asset Management to Devon Equity Management. Advised the Board in relation to pressure from activist investors and implemented tender offers.
Jupiter Emerging & Frontier Income Trust PLC
Advised Jupiter on the launch of Jupiter Emerging & Frontier Income Trust PLC. Acted for the company throughout its life until liquidation.

Jupiter Green Investment Trust PLC
Acted for Jupiter Green Investment Trust plc on its merger with Jupiter Ecology Fund, as well as throughout the life of one of the first investment funds with a sole focus on environmental solutions investing.
Vietnam Holding Limited
Acted for Vietnam Holding Limited on its move-up from AIM to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange and the migration of its corporate jurisdiction, as well advising on changes to management arrangements and the introduction of a redemption facility.

Acted on the launch of Alis Biosciences Limited, an investment fund seeking to bring a new approach to the listed life sciences sector, and on the establishment of Stichill Capital Limited, its investment adviser.
