Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Iluma Alliance on its acquisition of Anitox Group.
Iluma Alliance is a global agricultural and food technology conglomerate, headquartered in the Research Triangle Region in North Carolina, USA. Anitox Group is a global developer and manufacturer of antimicrobial preservatives for animal feed performance additives, operating across the US, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
A team from Stephenson Harwood conducted due diligence to support Iluma Alliance in the acquisition of English subsidiary Anitox Limited and certain Indonesian and Malaysian companies, and subsequently advised on specific jurisdictional inputs regarding the US law governed purchase agreement.
Corporate partner Duncan Stiles and associate Yuki Yue led the London-based team working on the transaction, supported by associate Alexander Goodman. The Singapore team was led by corporate partner Tom Platts and associates Christopher Madden, Harry Wilson and Anya Parekh. This transaction, a significant international deal for a US-based client, highlights Stephenson Harwood's global corporate cross-border capabilities, with the London and Singapore corporate teams working closely together to advise on English law aspects as well as coordinating and managing input from Indonesian and Malaysian counsel. The firm worked closely on the deal with Iluma's US counsel, Akerman LLP, who advised on the US aspects of the transaction.
