Karin Asai

Karin is an associate in the firm’s investment funds team, advising public and private companies on a wide range of corporate transactions. She has experience with public takeovers, IPOs, changes to management arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, reconstructions, and other corporate actions. Karin strives to support clients through complex transactions with a focus on practical solutions and attention to detail.

Fluent in English, Cantonese, Japanese, and Mandarin, Karin is well positioned to support clients across international markets. Her experience in the firm’s Hong Kong office has equipped her with valuable insight into cross-border matters, allowing her to address the complexities of international transactions.

• Custodian Property Income REIT plc

  Acted for the Company on its proposed all-share acquisition of abrdn Property Income Trust Limited. Advised the Company on an all-share acquisition of Merlin Properties Limited for £22.1 million.

• Special Opportunities REIT plc

  Acted on the launch of Special Opportunities REIT plc, a new REIT which was incorporated to invest in high-quality properties being sold by distressed and/or highly motivated sellers.

• Liberum Capital Limited

  Acted for Liberum Capital Limited on its merger with Panmure Gordon to create the UK's largest independent investment bank, Panmure Liberum.
