Stephenson Harwood's real estate team advises on notable property transactions
Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP's real estate team has recently advised on two highly significant commercial property lease commitments by tenants, which took place within a month of each other.
The firm advised Schroders Real Estate Investment Management (Schroders REIM) on the termination of a lease to WeWork of 60,000 square feet of co-working space within the prestigious No. 1 Spinningfields building, and on the simultaneous re-letting of the space to CUBO, the fast-growing UK-based flexible working space operator. The premises span three floors and feature more than 1,100 desks. This will be Cubo’s second flex offering in Manchester and completes the largest commercial leasing in Manchester for two years.
The firm also advised One Brindleyplace Lux Sarl on the letting of 69,000 square feet at One Brindley Place in Birmingham to Global Banking School, a transaction which represents the biggest commercial leasing in Birmingham for ten years.
Real estate partner David Sinclair led the teams advising on both transactions, supported by associate Gideon Caplin on the Schroders REIM transaction, and associate Stephanie Sagar on the One Brindleyplace matter.
