  • Crossrail
    Advising TfL on the design, formation and implementation of the regulatory structure for the Crossrail infrastructure. This has involved advice on the set-up and constitution of the infrastructure company, design and drafting of all regulatory and access documentation, interpretation and compliance with UK and EU law and regulation, extensive industry consultation and Office of Rail and Road interface. We have also given detailed advice on access arrangements with Network Rail and, Heathrow Airport and the interface with the HS2 project at Old Oak Common.
  • CAF
    Advising the Spanish rolling stock manufacturer on the real estate, planning, construction and regulation of a new manufacturing facility in Newport, Wales. The Newport facility is a strategically important facility supporting CAF's ongoing rolling stock manufacturing work.
  • Digital rail project
    A cross-practice team of rail, procurement and construction experts offered initial advice to train operator and its parent about the possibility of introducing this revolutionary new signalling system onto the network. The project involves installing a new, on-train signalling system, together with replacing conventional red/green signals with a complex computer system, meaning trains would be able to run closer together.
  • Transport for London/London Underground Limited
    Advising London Underground and TfL in relation to the infrastructure improvements across the underground network required to implement the £1.5bn New Tube for London Project including signalling projects and CCTV on platforms. 
  • Bus depots
    Advising a confidential client on the financing and installation of electric charging points in bus depots.
  • Bus Operators 
    Advising a number of bus operators and bidders for bus franchises on the implications of bus regulation, including in relation to their contracts with combined authorities and local authorities.
  • Open Access
    Advising operations of trains and infrastructure on various regulatory aspects of open access, including in relation to cross channel services.
