Our relevant wind experience includes:
- A successful judicial review against the UK Home Secretary to allow an extension to the Offshore Wind Immigration Rules concession to workers essential to the construction and maintenance of wind farms within UK territorial waters.
- Advised a TIER 1 contractor on all of the disputes arising from an EPCI contract for one of the largest European offshore windfarms.
- Advised the minority shareholder in one of the largest transactions in the offshore energy sector in recent years.
- Advised a global offshore wind developer on its offshore wind construction vessel charterparties for several upcoming long-term charterers.
- Advised a leading contractor on a multi-million-dollar dispute where the developer alleged government measures frustrated the construction scopes.
- Advised Cyan Renewables on its acquisition Australian offshore marine services provider MMA Offshore.
- Advised a floating wind technology developer on its contracting for the construction, transportation and hook up of its floaters offshore.
- Advised a major vessel owner obtain several hundred UK visas in order to undertake projects in UK waters.

Our relevant LNG experience includes:
- Advising an offshore contractor on the formation of an Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) contract with an oil and gas major for an ultra-deep water subsea installation in Angola (project value US$1 billion).
- Advising the trading arm of a global LNG trading and shipping corporation for review and advise on LNG Master Sale and Purchase Agreements, together with related spot confirms.
- Advising on £200 million long-term LNG charter; LNG charters require specialist knowledge of LNG transportation logistics; our role is to explain the risk to the client and draft suitable protective measures.
- Advising the FSRU provider in relation to the project contracts for the construction and operation of a newbuild FSRU with a storage capacity of 263,000 cubic meters of LNG, making it the world's largest FSRU, to provide storage and regasification services at the new import terminal to be located at Punta Sayago, Uruguay.
- US$1million+ claim relating to an explosion in the engine room of a large LNG vessel, and the catastrophic failure of one of the transformers. The vessel was disabled and required lengthy repairs. Our client had chartered the vessel, and their sub-charterers chartered a replacement vessel at a cheaper rate but claiming substantial losses.
Supporting FPSO projects from tender to decommissioning both on the non-contentious and litigation side.
Our relevant FSPO experience includes:
- Advising Altera Infrastructure on the negotiation and drafting of an EPC contract with a joint venture between Aker Solutions and Drydocks World Dubai for the redeployment of the FPSO Knarr to the Rosebank field.
- Advised BW Offshore Limited in respect of the proposed construction of a FPSO for use in the Gato do Mato oil and gas field development offshore Brazil, including the financing arrangements, the charter contract, charter guarantee and direct agreement.
- Advising in respect of project documentation and the financing documentation in respect of a FPSO that will be deployed in Angola, including preparing a full due diligence report for the financiers and negotiating the finance documentation.
- Negotiating terms and advising on commercial risks relating to a floating production project offshore Nigeria.
- Advised a leading floating production company on a joint venture with a major conglomerate and the construction, acquisition, contracting, offtake and funding of the project in South America.
