The Paris restructuring and insolvency team recently produced an article on the interplay between ESG and restructuring for Option Finance Magazine, a leading French business-to-business magazine.
In the article, partner Alexandre Koenig and associate Lauriane Chauvet address the growing importance of the environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) factors in restructurings. Based on their recent experience, they highlight that assessing relevant ESG considerations may be of key importance to many companies which have just undergone or plan to undergo restructuring. Compliance with ESG factors could make them more attractive to investors and lenders, improving their ability to obtain funding and increasing the overall value of their business.
