Dorothy Siron joins Stephenson Harwood as partner

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its Greater China commercial litigation practice with the arrival of partner Dorothy Siron, who joins the firm in Hong Kong.

Dorothy has more than 35 years of experience advising on complex international disputes. Her wide-ranging practice spans banking litigation, international trade and commercial disputes, employment law work, and multifaceted trust and probate disputes, with a particular focus on asset recovery, fraud and cyber crime litigation. Dorothy joins the firm from Zhong Lun Law Firm LLP, where she was a co-managing partner. She will be joined by commercial litigation of counsel, Tracy Chan, also from Zhong Lun Law Firm LLP.

"We are seeing increased demand for advice relating to arbitration and dispute resolution across the region," said Evangeline Quek, Stephenson Harwood’s Greater China office managing partner. "Dorothy's extensive experience advising international and Chinese clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration strengthens our existing dispute resolution offering and expands the firm's litigation capabilities in China and Hong Kong."

"Dorothy is an experienced and highly respected litigator who will be a notable addition to the team," said Stephenson Harwood partner Ian Childs, who leads the firm’s commercial litigation practice in Hong Kong. "Her arrival, alongside Tracy Chan, enhances the commercial litigation support we can offer our clients across the region."

Stephenson Harwood's commercial litigation practice in Hong Kong advises on the full range of contentious matters, including corporate, finance, insolvency and restructuring and trust matters.

The team regularly acts for domestic and international banking clients, multi-national corporations, blue-chip companies, major insurance and reinsurance clients, commodity trading companies and high-net-worth individuals. With its association with Wei Tu, a PRC law firm in Guangzhou, the team is well placed in providing a one-stop service on Hong Kong, English and PRC law advice.
