Real Estate | 12/09/2024

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its international real estate capabilities with the arrival of partner Gaëtan Rogeau. He joins the firm's office in Paris, where he will lead the French real estate team.

Gaëtan's practice covers all aspects of commercial real estate investment and development, with specific expertise advising international funds and foreign investors in all real estate transactions (asset and share deals), construction, development and asset management. His experience also includes advising in the hospitality sector. He joins the firm from DLA Piper where he spent nine years.

"Becoming a truly full-service practice is a core strategic ambition for our Paris office, which is the firm's European hub," said Nicolas Demigneux, Paris office managing partner, Stephenson Harwood. "Bringing on board a real estate specialist, like Gaëtan, brings us an important step closer to achieving this. His skills and experience will allow us to attract new clients, and to further expand our offering to existing ones."

"Gaëtan's expertise brings a new dimension to our international real estate capabilities," said Simon Brading, partner and head of real estate, Stephenson Harwood. "In particular, his notable experience advising on the redevelopment of industrial sites, is invaluable. With the French regulations which prohibit the development of new real estate programs on agricultural land, being able to support clients on key strategic developments on alternative plots will be essential."

With international expertise and broad experience in a wide range of commercial and residential property transactions and major global projects, Stephenson Harwood's real estate and projects practice advises clients all over the world. The team provides a full service offering both for external clients and for other teams within the firm. From major investment acquisitions or disposals to routine landlord and tenant matters, the team offers bespoke services and advice to clients throughout the lifespan of their transaction or project.
