Stephenson Harwood advises Établissements Sogal on Keyor group takeover out of receivership proceedings

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Établissements Sogal on the acquisition of certain assets and activities from the Keyor group, including doors and joinery companies Magri and Réseau Bois, in a transaction approved by the Commercial Court of Bordeaux in the framework of French receivership proceedings.

This acquisition strengthens Sogal’s position as France’s leading bespoke storage solutions manufacturer and enhances the market presence of its parent company, Groupe CMAI, a manufacturer of interior doors for both commercial and residential property. CMAI Group, of which Sogal is the main subsidiary, now comprises over 1,600 employees, operates 9 production sites, and achieves consolidated revenue exceeding €200 million.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Alexandre Koenig, who heads the firm's restructuring and insolvency practice in Paris, who was supported by associates Lauriane Chauvet and Martin Cormont. Additional advice was provided by employment partner Isabelle Dauzet and managing associate Victor Dehan; corporate partner Guillaume Briant and managing associate Ali Hilass; real estate partner Gaëtan Rogeau; intellectual property partner Boriana Guimberteau and managing associate Magali Courroye and competition partner Jean-Julien Lemonnier and of counsel Laetitia Ghebali.
