Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised BW LPG Limited (BW LPG) on a Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option Financing Structure (JOLCO).
This transaction relates to the sale and leaseback with financing of an 83,299 cmb very large gas carrier (VLGC), BW Kyoto, in which the firm acted for BW LPG Limited as the lessee. BW LPG is the world's leading owner and operator of LPG vessels, owning and operating VLGCs with a total carrying capacity of over 4 million CBM. This deal marks BW LPG's first JOLCO transaction. Bank of America, N.A. acted as the lenders and Financial Partners Group Co., Ltd. were the equity underwriter.
