Esther acts for high-net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and their families, but also other private client service providers, such as family offices and trustees, based in the UK or overseas.
The majority of Esther's work has an international element, and she has experience in assisting clients in relation to pre-arrival and pre-departure planning, the creation, ongoing administration and taxation, and termination of offshore trusts and other wealth preservation structures, and succession planning.
Esther's unique upbringing – spanning across South Korea, New Zealand and the UK – has led her to become a highly adaptable individual who is able to draw on her understanding of Western and Eastern cultures to best serve the needs of her clients.
Esther's technical excellence has been recognised within the private client industry by Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having received a Worldwide Excellence award for achieving the highest mark globally in the 2024 sitting of the Advanced Certificate for UK Tax for International Clients exam.
Esther is admitted to practise in England and Wales (September 2023), and she is registered as a Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong until June 2026.
