Experience

  • Landlord and Tenant - Commercial

I regularly advise landlords across the UK on effective rent recovery, vacant possession strategies, and enforcement of covenants to achieve swift, cost-effective outcomes. My experience includes driving rent reviews—including complex and historic cases—to secure increased rents, often involving technical valuations and disputed rent review clauses.

I have successfully acted for a lender on a £21 million dilapidations claim relating to a former hospital, coordinating multiple specialist experts to deliver results. I have also represented landlords in highly contested forfeiture proceedings, such as a major industrial unit in the Midlands, and provide robust, practical advice to both landlords and tenants on breach of covenant claims to ensure efficient dispute resolution.

  • Landlord and Tenant - Residential

I advise institutional landlords on enforcing tenant covenants, licensing, alienation, and forfeiture. As lead junior, I have acted for large groups of tenants challenging landlord mismanagement, advising on major works, section 20 consultation requirements, breaches of covenant, right to manage companies, FTT-appointed managers, and service charge disputes.

  • Landlord and Tenant - Rights of Light

I provide strategic advice to developers and adjoining owners on rights of light claims, including negotiating settlements and working with surveyors to agree releases. I was also the lead associate on a high-value rights of light infringement claim concerning a prime Central London property.

My approach is commercial, proactive, and tailored to each client’s objectives, ensuring that even the most complex property issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
