Jack specialises in trust and private wealth disputes. He has been closely involved in many of the highest value and most complex trust cases which have been litigated in recent years, including in England, Bermuda, Gibraltar, Cayman, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the BVI.

Jack has been mentioned in the last three editions of the Legal 500 UK (Contentious Trusts and Probate) directory. He was described as a "standout" in the 2022 edition and as having "an encyclopaedic knowledge of the details of his cases" in the 2021 edition. 

He has also spoken at a number of trust and private wealth industry events, including most recently the TL4 Contentious Trusts 'Next Gen Summit' in 2024 and the CONTRA/Informa 'Trust in Litigation' conference in 2023. 
In addition to his trust and private wealth specialisms, Jack also has extensive experience in other areas of litigation, including in particular civil fraud and financial services litigation.

Jack is also a solicitor-advocate and has Higher Rights of Audience for High Court (Civil) proceedings.

  • Hong Kong trust proceedings

    Advising the trustee of a trust for one of Asia's wealthiest and most high profile and litigious families on various contentious matters, including the potential restructuring of that trust.
  • Bermuda trust dispute

    Advising an ultra-high-net-worth individual on a long-running, multibillion-dollar family trusts dispute in Bermuda, and pursuing related claims in the US, Hong Kong, and other jurisdictions.
  • Bermuda trust dispute

    Acting for the same ultra-high-net-worth individual in related high-value Bermudian proceedings resulting in a successful judgment in the Privy Council in 2022.
  • BVI trust dispute

    Advising a family office in respect of multibillion-dollar trust proceedings in the BVI and other jurisdictions following the death of the family's patriarch.
  • Cayman and Bahamas trust dispute

    Acting for the beneficiary of a high value Cayman and Bahamian trust structure in relation to proceedings against the trustees for mismanagement of trust assets.
  • Corporate trustee bond default

    Acting for a corporate trustee in Commercial Court proceedings seeking to recover €250 million from another financial institution in respect of a bond default.
  • African banking dispute

    Representing a syndicate of international banks in Commercial Court and Court of Appeal proceedings seeking to recover $150 million following a loan default.
  • Unfair prejudice petition

    Acting for a leading UK hospitality group in defence of a £200 million shareholder dispute in the Companies Court.
