Jamie works with clients on a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency matters.  He acts for insolvency practitioners, secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, shareholders, directors, litigation funders and claims purchasers, and private individuals.  Much of Jamie’s work focuses on the recovery of assets by insolvency practitioners appointed over insolvent estates, particularly in cases involving asset recovery fraud.

Jamie is often instructed on complex cross-border matters, and has experience with large scale multi-jurisdictional litigation across Europe, the United States, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.  He also advises clients on how insolvency processes can be deployed in a wider asset recovery context.

Jamie delivers practical solutions for clients, solving problems commercially and strategically.  Clients value Jamie’s straightforward approach and guidance.

    Advised the joint liquidators of Global Steel Holdings Limited - in Liquidation on their global asset recovery efforts and strategy, including with respect to proceedings worth hundreds of millions of dollars in England, the Isle of Man, the BVI, Nigeria, Bosnia, the United States, and Singapore. 

  • Joint Liquidators of Global Steel Holdings Limited

    Advised the joint liquidators on complex information and document gathering exercises, complex multi-jurisdictional insolvency-tax issues, and investor-state arbitration matters.

  • Joint Liquidators of Greensill Limited

    Acted for the joint liquidators of Greensill Limited - in Liquidation in connection with the high-profile proceedings worth c.US$440 million against Credit Suisse / UBS and SoftBank.
