Jiaqing advises banks, leasing companies and financial institutions on a variety of finance and corporate transactions. Her expertise spans asset-based financings, leasing, debt restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. She provides comprehensive support; from transaction documents to managing all phases of deal execution.
Prior to joining the firm, Jiaqing read law at the University of Cambridge and worked at a leading Singapore law firm. She holds a Juris Master (LL.M.) in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University and is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Interbank financing
Acted for a leading Asian bank in connection with a series of US$200 million unsecured loans to each of the Shanghai, Hong Kong and Cayman branches of one of the largest Indonesian banks. Coordinated with Shanghai, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Cayman legal counsels to ensure the cross-border financing regulations of each jurisdiction are accurately reflected in the facility agreement and adhered to by the borrower within prescribed timelines, general matter management.
Sinosure-backed ECA financing
Acted for a major Chinese commercial bank in connection with a US$25 million Sinosure-backed secured loan financing to a Singapore company for the purchase of newly-built ships from a Chinese shipyard.
US fund financing
Acted for several US funds in connection with a US$45 million leveraged financing for the acquisition of shares in a Singapore company.
