Stuart's expertise covers ship and offshore finance, lease finance, ship sale and purchase, advice on charterparties and marine projects. He has advised on a number of significant projects, including high profile LNG shipping and offshore projects.   • Austrian Joint Venture    

    Helping a joint venture company sell its ownership interests in an FPSO operating in Brazilian waters for a price in excess of US$100 million.

  • Central Asian Energy Company    

    Assisting a State owned Energy company in its acquisition of a pair of Aframax oil tankers for an aggregate amount of US$150 million.

  • Dutch Bank    

    Supporting one of Holland's main banks in its financing of a UK based shipping company involving four dry bulk vessels.

  • Yamal LNG    

    Acting for the tonnage providers to the Yamal LNG project and negotiating all the project and finance documents relating to multi billion dollar vessel commitments.

  • German owner    

    Providing counsel to a Hamburg based owner/operator on a series of transactions involving multi purpose vessels, including in relation to its initial newbuilding programme at a Chinese shipyard.

  • Multilateral Organisation    

    Working with a multilateral organisation in relation to the removal of 'FSO Safer' from waters offshore Yemen.

  • German utility    

    Supported the client on documentation relating to jack up service operation vessels used in the maintenance of a portfolio of wind farm assets.

  • European owner    

    Advising the client in relation to the possible deployment of a newbuild FSRU offshore East Africa.

  • Japanese owner    

    Working with a Japanese owner in relation to the deployment of an FSRU to clients in Uruguay and Turkey.

  • Algerian owner    

    Providing counsel to Algerian clients in relation to an LNG ship charter transaction with a Japanese joint venture as the counterparty.
