Vanessa previously worked as an in-house lawyer in major shipping firms and as a lawyer in other international law firms in China, Belgium, UK and Greece before joining Stephenson Harwood.
Vanessa is the first Greek and European woman to qualify in the Marshall Islands and she is internationally recognised for her expertise in Marshall Islands and Liberia law. Vanessa is also qualified and practices law in Greece and in England and Wales.
Vanessa further specialises in transactions in the shipping and international trade sectors. She represents banks and ship owners in financing transactions. In addition, she advises on ship sale and purchase and newbuilding contracts and commercial arrangements, including charterparty, agency, shareholder and joint venture agreements.
Vanessa advises as a Marshall Islands and Liberian law expert on pending court proceedings.
