Will is a Managing Associate in the Debt Finance team and advises clients on a range of cross-border real estate finance transactions (involving acquisition, investment, development and bridging finance), corporate lending, general banking and acquisition finance. He has been commended by clients for being extremely approachable and for his commercial focus.

Will has been recently recognised by the Legal 500 as a Key Lawyer for Property Finance at Stephenson Harwood.

He acts for a wide range of borrower and lender clients including developers, sponsors, real estate investment and management corporates, funds, major financial institutions, high street banks and non-bank lenders. He provides commercial and sensible solutions to complex matters and is particularly skilled at completing complicated transactions with time-sensitive deadlines.

Will is particularly experienced in Real Estate Finance transactions and works on a broad range of asset classes including hotels, logistics and storage units, mixed-use developments, life sciences and PBSA. Will is an important client contact for OCBC, Native Land, HSBC, Leumi, Wells Fargo and Investec (having completed a secondment in Investec’s Real Estate team) and has recently worked on some of most high-profile deals in the UK Real Estate Finance market.

  • Bankside Yards    

    Advising an international consortium on the c.£550 million refinance and development of Bankside Yards, a 1.4 million sq ft mixed-use redevelopment project and the UK's first fossil-fuel-free development.

  • 65 Gresham Street  

    Advising a syndicate of lenders on the £417 million development financing of 65 Gresham Street, an office-led mixed-use development in the heart of the City of London.

  • Victoria House

    Advising OCBC on the c.£273 million development financing of Victoria House, a Grade-II listed building which will be converted into 300,000 sq ft of state-of-the-art life sciences hub.

  • Grove Crescent, Stratford    

    Advising Investec on the £66.8 million development financing of Grove Crescent in Stratford for the development of 397 student homes and new workspace.

  • Argo logistics portfolio    

    Advising HSBC on a number of financings provided to Argo Real Estate for the acquisition and value-add development of a portfolio of logistics assets across the UK.
