Stephenson Harwood attending IBA Annual Conference 2025 in Toronto

Our multi-disciplinary team from a number of Stephenson Harwood's international network of offices is delighted to be attending this year's event in Toronto, which takes place from 2 to 7 November.

The team is looking forward to meeting up with old friends and building new relationships.

At this year's conference:

  • Our partners will be arranging bilateral meetings with our international friends and attending numerous Conference programme sessions and networking events.
  • Partners are actively involved in a number of committees, including the Corporate and M&A, Closely Held, Litigation, Asset Recovery, Private Client Tax, Public Law Section and Class Actions committees.
  • Richard Garcia is co-chairing the session "The Burden of Proof in ESG Disputes" on Tuesday 4 November at the Court of Appeal of Ontario.
  • Ben Sigler will be speaking at the session “Sticking it to the man: a comparative approach to the mechanisms available for pursuing litigation against the government before national courts” on Tuesday 4 November.
  • Michael Rutili will be co-chairing a panel titled ‘Does the tax tail wag the human dog?’ on Tuesday 4 November.
