Stephenson Harwood advises M&C Saatchi on disposal of Southeast Asia operations

Corporate | 23/01/2024

Stephenson Harwood has advised London Stock Exchange listed M&C Saatchi on the sale of its entire interest in M&C Saatchi Holdings Asia Pte. Ltd and PT MCS Saatchi Indonesia to Anish Daryani, its former joint venture partner in Indonesia.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Singapore-based M&A partner Tom Platts, who was supported by associates Ming Hui Gan, Harry Wilson and Anya Parekh. Certain Singapore law advice was provided by Sheetal Sandhu and Claris Saw of Virtus Law LLP with certain Indonesian law advice provided by Christian Teo & Partners.

This follows on from the same team's advice to the founders of Klareco Communications on its sale to H Advisors/Havas in early December. This is another deal in the digital marketing and communications sector, a market currently experiencing a high level of consolidation and M&A activity. It also demonstrates the firm's continued strength and depth of experience advising on M&A matters in Indonesia.
