Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised Ezypay on the sale of the Ezypay Group to a subsidiary of Xplor Technologies, a US-based global leader in software, payments, and growth solutions.
Ezypay is a multi-award-winning payments facilitator offering cloud-based payments processing, subscription management, invoicing and reporting. The company processes payments for domestic and international businesses in 10 countries across the Asia Pacific region.
Ezypay is set to integrate with Xplor Pay, a global payment processing platform and part of Xplor Technologies’ SaaS suite. The transaction will allow EzyPay to continue to grow its client base, including in the health and fitness and education sectors, to scale faster, innovate more and to deliver seamless payment experiences.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Partner Tom Platts, who was supported by Associates Chris Madden and Anya Parekh and Hong Kong-based Partner Katherine Liu and Associate Alan Wong. Singapore Law advice was provided by Virtus Law Partner Eunice Yao and Associate Ming Jing Aik.
The team worked alongside Maddocks on this matter, which involved five additional jurisdictions (Ireland, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and Thailand). The team had previously worked closely with Maddocks on various cross-border deals in the region, allowing it to offer clients an effective one-stop shop service.
