Stephenson Harwood’s Paris office became a hub for the tech community during the last weekend in June, as 150 participants descended on it to take part in Paris Builds, a 36-hour hackathon.
The event was organised by Unaite, a student federation that brings together AI student associations from France’s leading schools, including École Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, Télécom Paris and HEC Paris, among others. Over two days, participants from all over the world worked collaboratively to build AI, robotics and agentic products. The winners received a day at Qube Research & Technologies, an investment management firm, and a Y Combinator interview with the tech incubator based in San Francisco.
Stephenson Harwood’s Technology sector group partner, Elise Dufour – who also serves as President of Girls & Tech, an organisation that seeks to put women’s talent in tech into the spotlight and helped to support the event – said: “Technology and AI are so important to the work we do at Stephenson Harwood, and hosting this event reflects our commitment to supporting the tech ecosystem. It was a pleasure to see the energy and drive that so many young people had in the pursuit of innovation.”
