Jade advises clients on a broad range of matters across general corporate, data privacy, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and financing. She provides legal support throughout the corporate lifecycle – from market entry and day-to-day compliance to complex cross-border transactions and capital raising. Jade has represented multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high-growth companies in both domestic and cross-border matters.
Jade is qualified to practise law in China and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E).
Jade obtained her LL.B. in International Economic Law from East China University of Political Science and Law, and her LL.M. in International Civil and Commercial Law from Leiden University.
Prior to joining Wei Tu, Jade worked at JunHe LLP and Fangda Partners.

Assisted a Guangdong SOE in acquiring a Hong Kong-listed property management company.

Assisted a global leading shipping group in its cross-border data processing as well as its PRC group companies' data compliance and personal information protection matters.

Advised an international corporate service provider in its data processing and data export, including the filing of SCCs and personal information protection impact assessment from a PRC legal perspective.
Data Breach Handling
Represented a well-known sportswear brand’s Chinese entity in handling a data breach incident and liaising with the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC).
Data Privacy Documents Handling
Provided PRC PIPL compliance advice to a tourism company, including reviewing commercial contracts with the local service provider and data processor, and preparation of privacy policies and consent forms.
