Louise Bonnel is an Associate in the intellectual property, tech, and data department of the Paris Office at Stephenson Harwood. Her expertise spans a diverse range of industries, with a particular focus on luxury, fashion, art, life science and new technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Louise's practice encompasses advising, pre-litigation and litigation on complex intellectual property matters. She supports clients in the negotiating and drafting of all types of contracts involving intellectual property rights and advises and represents them in pre-litigation and litigation relating to intellectual property, unfair competition and parasitic behaviour, before the courts or the French and EU Intellectual Property offices (INPI and EUIPO).
Louise also advises clients on tech and data protection matters, including the negotiation and drafting of contracts relating to data protection, compliance with data protection laws and assisting clients with amicable and judicial expertise.
Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Louise gained valuable experience in several companies and law firms in the new technologies and luxury sectors, which she leverages to offer tailored solutions to clients.
Louise is a member of the Paris Bar.

Advised a leading company in jewellery sector on French copyright law and successfully negotiated an agreement to secure the assignment of rights over original design creations.

Advised a leading fashion client on strengthening their brand protection strategy, including proactive collaboration with customs and investigators to identify and act against counterfeit and lookalike products.
