Mia Wang is an associate in the corporate team at Stephenson Harwood’s Hong Kong office. She regularly advises multinational corporations, private equity funds and other institutional investors on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and private credit transactions, outbound investments and general corporate matters.

Mia has experience in complex, multijurisdictional transactions across Greater China and global markets. She assists clients with strategic investments involving multiple foreign jurisdictions, the establishment of joint ventures between Chinese and overseas companies, and controlling stake acquisitions involving consumer goods, finance and manufacturing sectors. She also has experience in the full lifecycle of private equity and private credit fund operations, encompassing fundraising, investment structuring, post-investment management, and asset recovery.

Prior to joining Stephenson Harwood, Mia practised with a leading Red Circle law firm in its Shenzhen and Hong Kong offices and worked as in-house legal counsel at an alternative investment manager headquartered in Hong Kong.

    Advised Lugard Capital on its investment in the latest, nearly US$200 million equity financing round of Guangdong Huitian Aerospace Co Ltd, an XPeng-backed, Guangzhou-headquartered pioneer in the manned low-altitude flight and flying car sector.

  • TCL in multijurisdictional restructuring of Maxeon Solar

    Advised TCL's business units on the cross-border, multijurisdictional restructuring of Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. The restructuring involved compliance and regulatory assessments across more than 30 jurisdictions worldwide and encompassed acquisitions and divestitures.

  • Naixue in its strategic investment in Lelecha

    Advised Nayuki Holdings Limited (stock code: 02150.HK) in its strategic investment in Shanghai Chatian Catering Management Co., Ltd., which operates the freshly made tea brand “Lelecha. The consideration of the acquisition is approximately RMB525 million and the transaction was the largest transaction in China’s freshly made tea sector of that year.
