Ming Hui is a corporate Associate in the Southeast Asia M&A and private equity practice at Stephenson Harwood. She advises on a broad range of corporate transactions including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, strategic joint ventures and co-investments, corporate restructurings and general corporate advisory and compliance matters.  

Ming Hui's experience spans all levels of the investment life cycle – from early-stage venture capital start-up fundraising to complex, high-value M&A and co-investment deals across various sectors. She co-leads Stephenson Harwood Singapore's venture capital Start-up Technology Emerging Companies Programme (STEP), supporting early-stage technology businesses in the region's fast-growing start-up ecosystem.  

Having completed a client secondment for a major global provider of renewable energy solutions, she brings a commercially attuned, client-first mindset to her work. Clients value her as approachable, responsive, and solution-oriented, providing reliable support to assist them with navigating legal and regulatory challenges in the region.  

Ming Hui is dual-qualified in Singapore and England and Wales, and is fluent in English and Mandarin.

    Advised BW Group on its acquisition of 100% of Hawaiki Submarine Cable and International Connectivity Services, the largest and fastest cross-sectional fibre optic cable between the US and Oceania. 

  • Asia Maritime Pacific

    Advised Asia Maritime Pacific on its merger with Hamburg Bulk Carriers to form Cetus Maritime, one of the largest privately held handysize bulk operators in Asia. 

  • Seraya Partners

    Advised Seraya Partners on a co-investment in Cyan Renewables, with Alberta Investment Management Corporation and other global LP investors. One of the largest co-investments in Asia, the proceeds facilitated the AU$1billion privatisation of ASX-listed offshore vessel support company MMA Offshore.

  • Seraya Partners

    Advised Seraya Partners on a US$100 million co-investment into Cyan Renewables by New South Wales Treasury Corp (TCorp).

  • TotalEnergies

    Advised TotalEnergies on the establishment of its joint venture with ENEOS of Japan to develop onsite B2B solar distributed generation across Asia, and on the related commercial contracts. 

  • AIGF

    Advised AIGF, a Singaporean-headquartered private equity firm, on the sale of its KFC franchise business in Thailand.

  • TMF Group

    Advised TMF Group, an international provider of compliance and business administration services, on its acquisition of the Seamless accounting and payroll business in India from Sannam S4 Group.

  • Arcus Infrastructure Partners and Peacock Container Group

    Advised Arcus Infrastructure Partners and Peacock Container group on the acquisition of a portfolio of c. 9,000 tank containers, and the associated operating and financial leases, from Gem Containers. 

  • Real Pet Food

    Advised Real Pet Food, an international pet food company, on an AU$243 million funding round involving blue chip private capital investors.

  • Petronas Ventures

    Advised Petronas and its corporate venture capital arm, Petronas Ventures, on its series C1 investment into Shenzhen Immotor Technology, a smart energy network company that has pioneered an innovative power battery exchange platform across the PRC.
