Shirley advises on various aspects of shipping, including charterparties, carriage of goods by sea, collision, pollution, shipbuilding and ship sale and purchase. Her work ranges from drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, to advising and representing clients in arbitration and litigation. Shirley is also experienced in marine insurance and regularly advises on issues under policies or subrogated claims against third parties.
Shirley has extensive experience in handling international arbitrations (both institutional and ad hoc) in Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
Shirley is recommended by Legal 500 as a Leading Individual for Shipping in China. She is dual-qualified in England & Wales and the PRC (non-practising). She is also an arbitrator/mediator of Shanghai International Arbitration Center and arbitrator of China Maritime Arbitration Commission, Shanghai Arbitration Commission and Dalian Arbitration Commission (Dalian International Arbitration Court).
