Thiyana's principal area of practice is banking and finance, with a focus on shipping finance. She supports financiers and multinational corporations on complex cross-border projects and advises on loan and security documentation for debt facilities. Her experience spans a variety of financing transactions including bilateral and syndicated loans, term and revolving credit facilities, re-financings, and sale and leaseback structures. She also assists ship owners in vessel sale and purchase transactions and vessel registrations.

Thiyana is also well versed in corporate matters and has advised on private mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings involving amalgamations and large-scale redomiciliations of foreign entities to Singapore.

  • US$225 million revolving credit facility

    Advised a syndicate of lenders on a US$225 million revolving credit facility with an optional US$60 million accordion credit facility for the re-financing of x10 vessels.

  • Sustainability-linked loan

    Advised a syndicate of lenders on the increase of Peacock Container Group's existing sustainability-linked loan to US$350 million.

  • Cyan Renewables

    Co-advised Cyan Renewables on its AU$1.1 billion acquisition of MMA Offshore, a Perth-based ASX-listed offshore vessel support company.

  • BW Epic Kosan Ltd.

    Advised BW Epic Kosan Ltd. on the corporate amalgamation of 18 pre-existing shipowner companies into a single entity, as part of a refinancing of a US$160 million sustainability-linked loan.

  • Redomiciliation of BW LPG Limited

    Advised on the redomiciliation of BW LPG Limited (listed on the NYSE and OSE) from Bermuda to Singapore.
