Yanting advises and represents clients in the maritime and international commodities sectors, including shipowners, charterers and P&I clubs, providing guidance on both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has acted for international banks, state-owned enterprises, and investment groups, in relation to commodity trade disputes including coal and iron ore, charterparty disputes, vessel collisions and ship building contracts. Yanting also has significant experience obtaining international freezing orders and handling arrest of vessels to support her clients’ interests.

She has significant experience representing clients in court proceedings and international arbitration including SIAC, HKIAC and LMAA arbitrations, particularly in complex commodity and shipbuilding disputes. Clients appreciate Yanting's practical, solutions-oriented advice and her ability to respond swiftly and effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.

    Acting for and assisting Owners in a complex ship arrest relating to vessel collision involving total claims in excess of USD 100 million and limitation proceedings constituted in the PRC.
  • Acting for and advising international bank in Hin Leong insolvency and interpleader proceedings

    Acting for and advising an international bank in insolvency and interpleader proceedings relating to the collapse of Hin Leong Trading, one of Singapore's largest oil traders, on claims exceeding USD 40 million arising from letter of credit financing.
