Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its corporate practice with the arrival of partner Christophe Boucherie, who joins the firm in London.

Christophe is a regulatory lawyer with more than 20 years' experience in international practice in corporate, financial services and investment management. Christophe has worked in-house in the investment banking and asset management sectors and was most recently at Natixis Investment Managers. Christophe is dual-qualified both in England and Wales and in France and has significant experience in fund structuring, financial services regulation, corporate restructurings and cross-border M&A and private equity.

"A by-product of the successful growth of our transactional corporate practices is a greater need for regulatory advice," said Tom Nicholls, global head of corporate, Stephenson Harwood. "Christophe's knowledge and expertise means he can hit the ground running, and his investment management and financial services expertise in particular enables our funds and private equity practices to widen the advice they can provide to clients."

"Private capital and funds is a strategic area of focus for the firm and one we have targeted to strengthen," said Alex Haynes, head of private capital and funds, Stephenson Harwood. "Christophe's experience further boosts our non-contentious regulatory team and elevates the client support we can offer."

Stephenson Harwood's multi-faceted regulatory practice provides a range of expertise in areas including compliance, litigation, business crime and corporate liability over a wide spectrum.
