Partner Jawahir Al-Subaie joins Stephenson Harwood

05/01/2026

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its Saudi Arabian practice with the arrival of partner Jawahir Al-Subaie. Jawahir joins the firm in Riyadh and brings more than 12 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, including data and technology, project development, energy and infrastructure, venture capital and private equity in KSA and across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the US.

Jawahir trained and practised at an international law firm in London and Dubai before returning to Saudi Arabia to work in leadership roles at national institutions and organisations. This combination of international training and deep local experience enables her to deliver advice that aligns international best practice with Saudi regulatory requirements and commercial realities.

“The diversification of investments and rapid development of the tech industry in the Middle East align very closely with our own sector focus on technology and private capital and funds,” said Eifion Morris, Stephenson Harwood’s CEO. “Jawahir’s deep and practical experience in Saudi Arabia, combined with her expertise in technology matters will be of huge benefit to our clients across the region. Her arrival is another important step in the growth of our practice in Saudi Arabia.”

In November the firm announced its plan to launch in Saudi Arabia with a three-partner team. The Middle East has long been an integral part of Stephenson Harwood’s international network. With decades of experience in the region, the firm’s lawyers regularly advise on high-profile, cross-border transactions and cases that demand both deep local insight and international expertise. This has resulted in significant growth in the firm’s practice there.
