Corporate | 10/07/2023

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Ragleth Limited, the parent organisation of Anglia Maltings (Holdings) Limited (Anglia Maltings), on its sale to Richardson Malting (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of Richardson International Limited (Richardson).

Headquartered in Norfolk, England, Anglia Maltings is a maltster and grain processor, which supplies the global brewing, distilling and food ingredients sectors. With a diverse portfolio of businesses, including Crisp Malt, Micronized Food Products, and EDME Food Ingredients, Anglia Maltings operates seven malt facilities in the UK, Poland, and Germany, with a combined capacity of 440,000-MT.

Established in 1857, and based in Canada, Richardson is a global leader in agriculture and food processing, with more than 3,000 employees worldwide. This deal will enable Anglia Maltings to leverage Richardson's international customer base and presence.

Stephenson Harwood has been advising Ragleth Limited since 2005, when it originally acquired Anglia Maltings.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by partner Ben Mercer, who was assisted by managing associate Michelle Gomes and associates Matt Kinghorn, James Gracey and Sam Tyler.
