Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance advises Berjaya Air on ECA financing of world’s first aircraft in ATR HighLine “All-Business Class” configuration
Law firm Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised Berjaya Air on a Bpifrance-backed finance leasing transaction for two new ATR 72-600 aircraft. Societe Generale acted as lender and agent, and Bpifrance supported the transaction as the export credit agency.
This deal marks Berjaya Air’s inaugural ATR 72-600 and the launch platform for ATR’s new premium cabin collection featuring an all-business cabin configuration.
The first aircraft was delivered with this configuration in May 2026 and the second aircraft is due for delivery in the second half of 2026.
Established in 1989, Berjaya Air is part of the Berjaya Group and is Malaysia’s first premium boutique airline, offering exclusive turboprop flight services from Kuala Lumpur.
The team was led by Singapore-based Partner Saugata Mukherjee, supported by Associate Saurabh Negi and Paralegal Shahrzad Alavi.
